This post is me symbolically standing outside the window of a kitten heel pump, boombox in hand, unabashedly declaring my undying love for them. Let me state my case before I get the tomatoes thrown at me! A kitten heel effortlessly adds height to an outfit without committing to the foot pain of a higher heel. It adds elongation to an outfit with the practicality to withstand a packed day. The perfect compromise. I specifically love one with a pointed toe, as it is the Miranda Priestly of the toe shapes. It is elegant and chic, but strong in its own right. I also find that the elevation of the heel helps alleviate the pointed toe’s ability to make your feet look bigger than they are. An elongated pointed toe elongates your foot, so when the shoe is flat, this makes your feet look even longer than they are, making for a less complimentary shoe choice. I have found that a kitten heel helps offset this, making them more favourable on a wide range of foot types.
A lot of fun can be had with a kitten pump as it works across various outfit combinations. You can keep it chic with a flowy summer dress, with the heel emphasising the smartness of the dress. Alternatively, the heel can add tension to an overly casual outfit. Pairing it with a sweatpant set elevates the feel of your outfit. It can also add a breakup in the textures of an outfit with a flooded pant to add dimension to your look. Its versatility makes it an automatic winner, and the three outfits below showcase my favourite pairs at the moment.

I love the Clara heels from Aeyde, specifically the snake print pair, which add texture to your outfits without any extra effort. This look would be perfect for travelling where comfort is a priority without sacrificing style. The low heel allows you to run to your gate without the nightmare of a sprained ankle. It also keeps you looking less like the slob you want to be on a multiple-hour travel day. It's a win-win!

I have featured these Babouche Le Monde Béryl pumps before, but I fall more in love with them the more I see them. With the oversized silhouette of the t-shirt and cargo trousers, the crinkled leather adds a more edgy touch to the outfit. I also love how the pointed toe cuts through the overall baggy silhouette of the outfit and adds a sleek touch. The scarf hat adds a fashion-forward element to the outfit and infuses the look with colour to complement the muted colours featured throughout. This is the outfit worn by the cool aunt who decides her location of the year based on the weather that suits her best. Do you see the vision?

Compared to the other two heels featured above, the structured heel and croc leather of this Reformation Pump stood out to me. Paired with the leopard print of the Ganni jeans, both patterns work well together and infuse the outfit with personality. I pictured this as a first date or drinks outfit, so the red bra peeking out of the sheer cape adds a flirty touch to the overall fit. With the low heel, you can easily transition from drinks to dancing and not have to limp home at the end of the night. You’re welcome!
I hope I have successfully made my case and if I haven’t, I live to fight another day. If you are a fellow kitten heel pump fan, leave a comment in the notes chat and share your favourite pairs!
